A potent, reversible inhibitor of telomerase activity.

Chemical Name: MST-312; N,N′-bis(2,3-Dihydroxybenzoyl)-1,3-phenylenediamine

Biological Activity:
Biological Activity Telomerase Inhibitor IX, also called MST-312, is a synthetic compound that acts as a reversible TERT (telomerase) inhibitor, and is described to be more potent than epigallocatechin gallate. UP37 cell studies suggest that in the presence of Telomerase Inhibitor IX, cell growth slows and the cells remain in the G0-G1 cell cycle arrest. In addition, reports indicate that Telomerase Inhibitor IX does not inhibit Taq DNA polymerase.
